So after 2 and a half months of lurking in the forums I finally decided to order a g73 from xoticpc. Michael has been very helpful so far despite the communication problems on my end (gov phone). I know some people suggested me a clevo p151hm1 but i got the configuration i was looking for for the price I could afford and the gpu difference didnt warrant the extra money. I will still be living off ramen for a couple months but in the end i think it was better than the sx i ordered or going with a dv6t. Ended up going with xotic because malibal never replied to my pm and I couldnt get them over the phone, which is rare because ive read good things about them. Well, wasnt meant to be i guess. Could anyone recommend good threads to read for new owners? This is the first laptop i buy my first was a gift and that thing is still alive after nine yrs and still kicking.

congrats on the new rig. as for threads the ones that have helped me was the clean windows install, use of throttle stop, and OC for the 460m. My G73sw had been great. I have only had one problem since april and it was my fault as I had a high OC and shut mine down at like 90*F. So let it cool down to the 60's before turning off after gaming.

    enjoy.
