Ok so first up I am new to laptop gaming ... this G73JW is the first "gaming" lappy I have bought so be gentle to me please![]()
How can I set the fan speeds to change depending on the temp with afterburner like I do with my desktop?
-
Delushin, I have been following NBR G73 forums since Jan and I don't think you can directly control the fans via software (I wish I could). Upgrading to BIOS 211 will make them come on sooner (that is why I have stayed on BIOS 209). How are your temps at IDLE and in game?
For me with 22 C ambient Idle is <50 C and I have never seen anything over 90 C (that was with fumark). Good luck with your system J -

yeah with the laptop you really cant control fan speeds. However you will just want to find the right balance between your OC settings and your temps. Keep an eye on things with HWmonitor or realtime with GPU observer. The G73jw runs pretty cool to begin with and has a pretty large headroom to be overclocked. You shouldnt see dangerous temps unless you push the system really far. Start slow and work your way up.
cheers,
