    Any G73JH willing to sell one of his HDD brackets?

    I'm currently residing in San Francisco for a couple of months and I'm planning to buy a Momentus XT for my G73JH. However, as I bought it in Best Buy, I'm missing the second HDD bracket. The shipping from asusparts.eu is ridiculously expensive and the 2 sites in California that sold them are out of stock.

    Are there any G73JH owners who feel they don't need their second bracket and would like to sell it?

    get it from asusparts.eu dude... i dont think you'll find someone selling his bracket since most of them has SSD+HDD combo like mine... i got mine on asusparts.eu... 30 usd isnt that bad if you need it...

    im pretty sure it is faster now.. since they have it in stock.. when i ordered it.. it was out of stock and it took 2 months.... the day they had it.. the next morning they shipped it... and it took a week to be delivered on my place....

    I just checked in Asusparts.eu and it would end up costing like 44 USD, 7 pounds for the enclosure and like 20 just for the shipping. That's a lot of money for a chunk of metal that happens to be bent in a convenient way.

    Anyone know of any other places in the US where I could get this?

    You could do what I did and just bend four pieces of thin sheet metal to line up with the mounting holes in the hard drive and the mounting holes in the laptop. I drilled the holes at the appropriate places and mounted the hard drive in the laptop. This is just as secure as the caddy and only took about 15 minutes.

    u can just go to any computer store and buy..in here (beijing china) has tons of it only with $5 u can buy it..lucky me..
