Hi, I recently bought a replacement mobo for my G73SW-XA1. The mobo I'm replacing is 'rev 2.0', and after receiving many assurances by the seller that the board I was buying was indeed the same, it arrived today and is labelled as 'rev 1.1'.

Can any one tell me the difference between the two boards? Is there any chance of it not working with my existing CPU/GPU/RAM/power supply?

    Thanks!

    bump?

I've tested out the board and it doesn't power on, so I'm sending it back, but I'd still like to know the differences between the revisions if anyone has any idea.

Hallo. I was vondering that to. Only conclusion I could get from watching pictures of both boards is that rev1 does not support 3d as it missing conector on board.

When the Sandy Bridge was released, there was an issue found with it that was related to the SATA controller. At that time Asus had already sold some notebooks with the defect. This resulted in Asus recalling all notebooks with Rev 1.1 motherboard, and replacing them with Rev 2.0 (with the fixed sata controller).
