Any video card upgrades for G51VX-RX05? Or better off getting Q9000?

I have a friend with a G51VX-RX05 with a P7350 and 1gb GDDR3 GTX260m and was wondering what would be a better upgrade for CoD black ops. A video card upgrade if possible or upgrading to a Q9000.

Does anyone know if an HD 5850 can be used in this machine or if there are any cards at all that work in this outside of the GTX260m?

Is that a best buy model? if so I don't think any quad cores will work with it. The GTX 260m is the best card he could use.

Looks like a BB model. And the only GPU upgrade is to a 360m GTS, which is a little bit weaker than a 260m GTX.

Yeah, it's the BB model :( A T9600, P9700 or T9800 should be a worthwhile upgrade for gaming right? 800mhz - 900mhz higher clock and 3mb more L2 cache plus newer architecture. Cheaper than a Q9000 too.

If anything do you think an XT 250gb HD would be worthwhile over the 320gb 7200 rpm HD? Heck he could get the XT and the T9600 for what the Q9000 or video card upgrade would cost.

If you're going to sink money into it (and I don't know that I would, but ...) then a processor upgrade is a lot of money for something that won't boost framerates unless you're heavy into RTS / CPU heavy gaming.

Getting a faster hard drive is nice, I don't like the momentus XT personally ... I find it to be a poor substitute for a 7200 rpm drive OR an SSD. You've got 2 HD bays in a g51vx, might as well have one of those bays be a 720gb or something ...

A CPU will help in games. That p7350 is a bottleneck for the gtx 260m.
