    Anyone still gaming on a G50?

    Beginning to feel left behind lol. Still gaming Black Ops, Fallout New Vegas, and MoH 1680x1050 w/4xAA @ 40fps here. But 1080p 60fps gaming would be sweet. Who else is with meh!?

    Yeah my G50vt is showing its age, but it's still a solid machine. I put in a new CPU and that really helped with things like photo editing.
    I actually bought a GTX 260m recently and simulated a manual PWM controller (a 260m in a G50vt makes the fan run at 100% all the time)... so as soon as I run over to my school's IEEE department for some components, I'll put everything in and hopefully feel a little more up to date for another few years.

    The g50 is still a sweet machine. Sure, it's not top of the line anymore, but it still beats the pants off many new machines.

    It was cheap, and I fix/resell laptops for pocket change.

    absolutely.... G50VT-X1..... it is showing it's age but stills runs very well. It's my secondary machine... the other is an N61JQ which is rather sweet as well.
