    The Asus G73 dimensions are:

    41.5 x 32.0 x 1.89~5.69 cm (W x D x H)

Is this in inches? Or centimeters?

And whats this last part mean?

"cm" is key. It's in centimeters.

1.89~5.69 means that the front of the laptop is 1.89cm in height while the rear is 5.69cm

Its weird, because my old laptop has dimensions:

    14.4 x 10.2 x 1 (W x D x H)

    All in inches.

And the laptop is a 15.6inch.

The 17inch, if that is truly in centimeters, is not big at all!

Oh, and sorry for this thread, realized it is centimeters. lmao i fail.

Well, personally I find the G73's size and weight to be too large/heavy for my taste, but each person has their own tolerance levels. I'd suggest visiting your local Best Buy to get some hands-on time with the laptop so you'd get a better idea of it's physical specs.

Yeah your right, and you never know what people are comparing it to when they say huge.

I will go and check it out, but by my measurements in comparison to my old laptop, it seems like a perfect fit.

Only thing is that it is 2inches thick at the back, but that doesn't bother me much.

the g73 doesn't "feel" as large iether, because the 2 inches at the back that stick out are hidden when the screen is up. Totally worth it, considering how cool it keeps the laptop.

I remember when I got this beast and put my hands on it, I just can't believe that this is not my typical laptop size. It's kind of oversized when I place it on my legs when sitting on "indian-sit", and also the AC is kind of distracting when on this position as its plug is a straight one and not the L-shaped one.

Think about it. If they were inches, the notebook would be about the size of a 42" LCD TV. Now put that in your backpack.

It is 17.3'' for the diagonal of the Screen (from top right corner to bottom left, or vise-versa the other direction). While the dimension mentions the Length, Width and Depth/Height.
