Damn, I wish I never bought this laptop :(

At first everything was fine, then I updated to new ATI drivers... experienced grey screens... then I rolled back to my old drivers that came with the G73... but now I'm having artifacts and bad performances in all my games... I feel like ***** ATM because I heard artifacts is a sign of your card dying... and I'm in deeper **** now because college is starting tomorrow and we NEED a laptop for all my classes (so forget RMA for a good 7+ months).

So what should I do ? SAFE-wise, I cannot be laptopless, ortherwise I would be ***ed to a level beyond human comprehension

Should I clean install old drivers ? Or the sign of artifacts means It's already too late ? Argh...

    edit: bios 206

The reason why I updated my drivers in the first place was because the computer froze on DX10 all maxed on Age of Conan...

    -First update bios to 209,
-Then uninstall all ati drivers and run drier sweeper/ccleaner
-Then install the 10.1 drivers that are current on the asus web site.

You may want to try a custom video bios.

Ok thanks, I'll do that next week or so - I hope it doesn't brick!

Might as well wait for the new update from Gary too, I was asking because I haven't seen much talk about artifacts.
