    Asus G2S Laptop Display is suddenly black

    My laptop has been working fine for few years now and today i go to turn it on and everything powers on except the screen remains black with no sign of power.... very frustrating, i tried removing battery and restarting and just simply restarting several times but no sign of action in screen...

    Can some1 help please

    If you have a G84 or G86 GPU 8400, 8600, then you have a defective GPU. Check my post here:
    I have a G1s with the Nvidia defect GPU 8600m GT and I went after ASUS and finally got them to give me a replacement laptop. (G50V-X1). Most of my info is on the nvidiadefect forum.

    It also has a picture of the "new reworked gpu" however no one is coming forth to say what excalty was done to make this better.

    Keep after them. Be patancent, fare, and honest in persuning them and you should get some satisfaction.
