    Hello Folks,

I know this is a more common issue with this laptop, I was wondering what do I need to do to use 1 of those wireless usb network cards? There is an on/off switch on the front of the laptop and in the software you can enable/disable the onboard 5100 card. What do I do to get the USB card to be the working 1?

    thanks

What I find funny is I never had an issue with the wireless.

With the usb one plugged in and the 5100 disabled in the network panel (Calling it that as it changes with every windows version) when you go to connect it will use the USB one as its an active wireless device.

You could always open the bottom panel undo two screws and remove the 5100. On that note you could always replace the card with a better model instead of using up a usb port.
