Ok, so I'm pulling my hair out here. I've read all the forum posts I can find, I've googled, I've searched forums, etc... all to no avail.

We pulled a working GTX 260M 1GB MXM card out of an Asus Laptop that simply wouldn't charge (everything else worked fine).

We installed it into this Asus G50V laptop, which it appears to work but I can't find a single driver that will work.

I've downloaded 2 different drivers from the Asus Website, along with trying the NVidia drivers.

After a Bios Flash the auto detect did find it on the Nvidia site, but specifically said you have to get the drivers from the vendor.

So, no go on notebook/desktop drivers from NVidia, no go on the G50V or the G60 drivers.

    I'm at a loss.

Here is what I have so far collected.

    Device ID String: PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_0618&SUBSYS_19A21043&REV_A2

    Bios Info: 6/2/09 - Asus - Nvidia 260M GTX 1GB

    Device ID 0618
    Sub Vendor ID 1043
    Sub System ID 1A52
    Board ID 8823

This is running at 500mhz/799mhz (same bios is available at tech power up for this exact board, but it is the same bios as what I saved)

VGA Bios Collection: Asus GTX 260M 1024 MB | techPowerUp

I'm at a loss at this point and hoping someone can help.

Also, when I try to do a force install (select the driver from the list etc...) it tells me the driver isn't compatible with this version of windows.

I'm currently in the middle of reinstalling Windows 7

    System specs:
    Core2Duo
    4GB DDR2
GTX 260M 1GB (as noted above)

One last thing, I did try editing the inf file (maybe I missed something) but still no go.

When you edit the inf files make sure you delete the &SUBSYS part in every *.inf file you find with that specific Device ID string, so

Also make sure to disable driver signing for 64-bit Windows or the installation will fail. I'm using a G50vt with drivers that I just pulled from nvidia's site, and then removed the &SUBSYS=### part in the inf files as I said before.
