Hey all,
I am new to these forums, but hoping to find some assistance! I have an Asus G50Vt-X5 which I enjoy very much. However, after about 30-40 minutes of gaming, it gets really hot and my framerate begins to stutter. I have cleaned dust out, and even have a USB fan attached underneath, but it still doesn't prevent it from happening. Is there ANY way to control the fan speed? I don't think it's 100% but I am not really sure. Any help would be appreciated, thanks in advance.

If your framerate is dropping consistently and the laptop is heating up, it's definitely the GPU throttling itself back to prevent damage.
You may need to redo your thermal paste/pads. However, first check to make sure your fan is pushing as much air as it did before this problem started and isn't making any bad noises.
AFAIK there is no manual fan control. -
Is there any type of directions or tutorial for this? i don't wanna screw anything up, and am unfamiliar with taking apart a G50
