    Asus G50VT-X5 BB Thermal Temp

    Sorry for making new thread for old Notebook (although i want to upgrade to G73jw still waiting to someone coming from USA :( )

    anyway
    after Buying AC5 , I reapplied the thermal paste on the cpu and the gpu

    and i am having thous temp at room 27
    using Forceware v260
    Core 2 Duo P7450

    CPU : idle at around 37 (50 52 cpu Cores )
    GPU : idle at around 45

    at load
    CPU : 50 - 55 ( 74 - 69 for the cores )
    GPU : 75 - 83

    the only thing that concern me :confused: is the CPU cores is really high i don't understand maybe because i am still under Lead-in Pried
    but i don't know let know what you think guys
    and can someone post his Temp :eek:

    PS : i am only add about like 10 Memory heat sink on the cpu and gpu heat sink :cool:

    Did you give the AC5 burn in time? Burn is time is when the thermal paste bonds to the heatsink, resulting in lower temps. Generally a few days to a week.

    will i am still waiting to burning time but AC5 website saing that it only give 1-5 degree lower ?

    How thick did you apply the AC5? Generally if thermal compound is too thick it works against your temperatures. Usually it's better to err slightly on the thinner side.

    I don't have a video but you might try a few applications. I'm not sure if you need a certain "cure" time, but if it's not like AS5 and you have a whole tube of it, you might just try experimenting with different application thicknesses. I reapplied my paste 4 times before finding something that worked best for me. I am using OCZ Freeze.
