I recently had to replace my Asus g50v mobo so I sent it back to Asus and had them deal with the hassle (I tried it once before, took me forever!). I just got it back today and it turned on fine and worked for about 10 minutes. I was satisfied and turned it off, then later in the evening I tried to turn it back on and all it does is go to the Asus Republic of Gamers Screen with the Intel logo on the bottom right and stay there. I also tried booting into the seperate OS and all it does is bring me to a strange looking Asus logo screen. Has anyone heard of this before? Should I try re-installing windows?

So you mean your system won't pass POST? If you hit ESC there can you see any messages about where it may be hung up?
You can try resetting the BIOS by poking the reset hole on the bottom for 10+ seconds.
I had problems booting my G50 when I had it set up in RAID 0 and I had esata plugged in. Try removing any peripherals you have plugged in.
You can also try reseating the memory modules and hard disks. -
Well I dont have it connected to anything right now. I start it up, it plays the ROG sound and gets stuck at that screen. It sounds as if the disk drive attempts to start up twice, then stops.
Hitting the esc key doesn't work either. Where is the reset button? On the bottom? I will try that -

Maybe there's a problem with one of your hard disks. You could try removing them one by one. As you may know, if a hard disk is failing and won't spin up, it can hang the system by confusing the controller.
The reset hole is on the bottom, you'll need a paperclip or something to poke it and hold it down for 10+ seconds. -
I dont know if I am blind or what...I cant seem to find this reset button.
Ahah I found it, very small. -

It's the one at the top left of the access panel in that pic, it looks like >o< right above the mercury warning label. -
Alright, I turned it on again and it started working...but I bet it will stop again. If resetting the BIOS does not work, you think it could be the HDD?

I've had this happen before when the system was under heavy load and I kept trying to change the brightness (testing video drivers). The reset button or a full power drain (release battery, unplug for a few seconds, plug back in) always works.
