My question is how do I find out what my system model is. I go to system information and it says i have a G50VT. From what i have reasearched there are multiple G50VT series like the X1 and X6 And A1 ect. I am currently looking to buy new RAM but there is no option for just the G50VT, its only got the x1 A1 A2 ECT.

All G50v/G50vt series laptops take the same RAM. Look for PC2-6400 RAM. It's DDR2 SO-DIMM (Laptop DDR2 RAM).

8GB of laptop DDR2 is the max 800Mhz as well. Not dependent on the sub model.

As far as figuring it out it should be on the warranty sticker on the bottom. X5 has the orangeish flame/lighting thing on the back with the goldish orange areas around the top of the keyboard came with a P7450. The X1 was silverish with the Blue lighting stuff on the back. Both have the 1366x768 screen.

I believe the X6 was like the A1 A2 models which had the black lid some orange trim. The A1 had dual drives and the T9400 stock with 1680x1050 screen. Cant remember all the models but i made this chart a while back.

@RainMotorSports: Hahaha you were the one with this chart! I remember this! :)

@OP: The chart will help you ID your laptop model for future reference, but the RAM is still the same across all these models.
