Hello, Earlier I was using my laptop when i noticed that my anti-virus program had detected some activities. I ignored it since the anti-virus program would automatically take care of the problem (i assumed -_-) but then out of no where my laptop had shut down. I tried booting it back up again but it would just do the "republic of gamers" logo screen and then jump to a black screen with a underscore _ blinking at the top of the left screen.
The laptop can go into bios but not much I can do from there. Pressing F8 at the logo screen wont do anything. I decided to reformat my laptop but after my laptop is done reformatting, it just goes back to the logo screen n the black screen. At the logo screen, pressing Escape and F2 works, nothing else seems to work. I don't have a clue whats going on here and was wondering if anyone can help me.

Looks like the boot loader has been damaged, not sure which Windows version you have but you can try download Windows repair disk to repair Windows startup.

so I tried to pop in a window vista recovery 64 bit disk and attempted to fix the boot problem through the command option. I used YouTube - How to use the Bootrec.exe tool to repair startup issues in Windows Vista by Britec‏
as an instruction to fix it and then restarted my comp.
Now the screen does go past the logo screen but it goes to a window screen where it says "windows is configuring your setup" but then a window popped up and told me there is no install files and the laptop just restarts itself. It would go back to the screen where "window is configuring blah blah" n the other window would pop up again and the whole restarting process would go on n on again. Now what do i do? =[
