Hi guys, I've had a problem with my G51-RX05 for a while now and cannot find the problem at all! It locks up no matter what I'm doing and sometimes not for 5 hours at a time, but more often every 10-20 minutes or before it can even get into Windows. It locks up and I have to hard reboot, no bluescreens at all or any minidumps from crash reports
At first I thought this was RAM for sure, and tried using only one stick, then the other, and couldn't find any errors with memtest. Also using other known good RAM didn't solve locking up.
Next thing I noticed, and haven't been able to completly diagnose is the hard drive. I've done a low level reformat thinking it could have been some bad sectors, didn't solve the problem, then tried a spare 60GB drive to install the OS too and it would lock up.
I've also tried all sorts of different drivers, specifically audio ones since I've heard problems from other users here in the forum about the realtek driver being the problem.
When the computer works, I can stress test the CPU and GPU with no errors, even overclocked it'll sometimes run for hours and then randomly freeze when I open the internet browser or a game, temps always stay pretty low. Does anyone have any more suggestions? This laptop is out of warranty.

Do you have any razer or creative drivers installed?

No, I've tried a fresh install of Windows like three times now, using all stock drivers, and trying all Asus drivers a different time.
It seems like it MIGHT be software related but if I had to guess I'd say hardware, maybe the motherboard? Or processor, but it seems fine given sometimes when I'm running stable It'll overclock 25% and run prime95 with no errors. Sounds like a good processor as far as I know.
Asus G51 random hard lockup problem.
