Recently purchased an Asus G51JX-X5. I am consistently getting a GPU temperature in the high 50's to low 60's even if I am only using it for browsing the internet. The Core Temperatures also stay in the high 50's. I was wondering if this was normal or if there is something I can do to make it better. I looked around in these forums but couldn't find anything relevant. Also game wise, the most stressing game I currently play is SC2 and the GPU temperatures go up to the 80's when I play it for 30 minutes or so.

    Thanks

I have the same temperatures as you. There are a bunch of thermal paste topics you could look at that would explain what to do about the temps. I'm going to stay with the factory paste unless the temps get into the 90's, but right now even running furmark doesn't get them there.

Thanks for the input, at least it isn't abnormal for it to be that hot. I think I will stick to the factory paste as well, at least until the warranty expires. I have bad experiences with opening up laptops.
