I have a Asus G53SX that I have had a love hate relationship with, since May 4 2012. I got the laptop from micro center for $900 including tax. I already went into this knowing that the 2Gb 560m was not as fast as the 1.5 or 3GB variant. But for the first month the laptop was fine. I play games like TF2, CSS ect, and it plays them well. But I feel like the performance of the computer is not on par with some of the results that people are getting. I also have a screen issue, where if I life up the laptop on the right side, the screen will either stay yellow or even show red marks all over the screen. I wonder if this is a loose cable or a losse video card I am in school, and not in the position right now to send in the laptop for RMA, I am doing research, and I can't find any information on at what point in a tear down will I be voiding the warranty. I know on my previous Alienware as long as what you did not mess up the system you where fine, and could send it in for RMA. Any help or input would be great.

It could be a bad video cable or a loose connection to the motherboard if the problem comes and goes. If the problem doesn't go away then i would suspect a bad video card but it's really hard to tell since a bad cable can do the same thing. Can you take a picture of the screen? Have you tried to change resolutions to see if the lines change size and locations?

I have tried to change the resolution while the screen was like that, but nothing I can do in software has any change on the yellowing of the screen. If I had a picture, but I have never taken a picture of my computer in that state, but I can say that it only happens when I pick the computer up, or sit it down. I am very careful with my technology so, it was not from abuse by me.

HI I GOT THE SOLUTION !!!!!!

This laptop that i have to has a design problem: the under the video card is a METAL PART WITH THERMAL COMPOUND THAT TOUCHES THE MODER BOARD. Thas why when you touch the boton the video glitches or when you move the computer hard you con turn it on again.

I opened the computer took the video card out a put a plastic peace between the metal and the motherboard. and no more reebot problems and video issues.

    Spread the ord please.
