The gold power pin where you connect the ac adaptor to the mother board is about to break for the second time. It's been giving me a ton of problems and I was just able to tell that the pin is extremely wobbly, clearly on the verge of breaking.

    This is unacceptable.
How can a computer be continuously breaking?
What happens when I'm out of my warranty period?
Should I keep a stock of extra motherboards on hand to swap out whenever this one breaks?

This is the worst computer I've ever had.

Has anyone figured out a way to keep this from happening? Maybe I can keep it from occurring a third time after I RMA it.

You need to look into getting a 90 degree power adaptor as this is a common problems for those with the side mounted AC Jack the Jack being held at a straight direction with the cable twisted over a period of time will degrade.

Look into getting a Targus universal adaptor with the Universal Jack pack with it and that should sort your problem out.

    Thanks for your response.
However I actually purchased a 90 degree power adapter after it broke the first time.
I thought it had fixed the problem.....apparently not.
I guess it lasted longer with the 90 degree adapter but that's it.

I'm really sick to death of this laptop. I'm going to have to replace it with an MSI or Alienware just so I can have a functional laptop that isn't broken every couple months.

i think this is the same problem i have. just got my second RMA. really pissed i have to send this thing in right around the holidays when i'd actually have some game time. i totally regret buying this thing. after a year's experience i'd say its too big/heavy and the placement of the power cord right next to the mouse is seriously annoying. i may try and sell this thing once it's fixed and go with an alienware.
