Hi guys, I just wonder if anyone who has problem with the fans when playing games? Like when I am playing Deus Ex, the notebook gets real hot and then fans start blowing out hot air, but the problem is only one fan is exhausting which is located on the right back side of the notebook. I put my hand on the left fan, i only feel a breeze =_=!
Is it normal? or the notebook just disable the left fan? any help would be appreciated!![]()

FYI, the right side of the back gets real real hot, I am pretty sure if I accidently drop an egg, it would definately get cooked! Orz...

Chunjay the GPU fan is on the right , the CPU fan is on the left. So that sounds normal. Have you cleaned out the vents recently?
It would also be a good idea to monitor your temps with a tool like
Hwinfo32 or Hwinfo64 HWiNFO, HWiNFO32 & HWiNFO64 - Hardware Information and Analysis Tools
Please post back and let us know the temps; a sceen shot like I have attached would be helpful -
Hi JOSEA,
Thanks for your reply! really appreciate! Now I get it...my gpu is heating up! I thought both vents were placed to exhaust cpu and gpu temp! I actually just bought this notebook few days ago, so im pretty sure vents are clean
I am downloading the software you mentioned, will post a screen shot in a minute
thanks again!

Hi Josea,
Here is the result! I opened deus ex and ran for a few minutes, the result shows max temp of GPU is around 60 degrees, I predict the temp reaches about 70 degrees when the fan starts blowing loudly.
The cpu temp is always around 70 or below but the left fan is not as loud as the right fan even though they both reach similar temps when running games. Is it normal? or the right fan should not be exhausting loudly when running 3d games like deus ex?Attached Files:

Sorry Josea, I just realized that I only post half of the results... the GPU temp is actually around 63 when i minimise the deus ex game, so when the fan starts exhausting realy loud, i guess the temp is about 80-90? way too high or normal?

Chunjay, you are fine with the temps. You are within like the real safe zone lol.
And yes as previously posted, the right side is the GPU and left is CPU. For most games, they are GPU intensive so the gpu will work much harder than the cpu. (also cause most games arent coded to fully utilize quad cores such as i7's) so the cpu is barely doing much compared to the GPU.
I wish my temps were like that. I play Dirt 3 and Crysis 2 on 1080p high settings (medium for crysis 2) and I get 84 on gpu and 80-84 on cpu. The asus G series has an amazing cooling system so it will constantly rush out hot air so the components stay cool -
Thanks m1 1x! By the way what are those buttons besides of power button? looks like a lock with number 1 and A on it.
