I bought a new Asus G53sw about a month ago, and i have already had to return it once for the same problem. After about two weeks of owning the laptop, a line of red and black pixels developed down the screen. The line was about an inch long the first time, now its about half that length. I have already run stuck pixel fixers to try to fix it, but that didnt help. I was wondering if anyone knew how to fix this without having to return it, because i dont want to have to get another laptop again

    Hi WeAreCorrupt,

I had the same thing happen with my first one I bought, and now the second one, after 3 months, also have those lines.

Did you get any information from Asus regarding the problem? What caused it?

I am in South America on contract so will not be able to replace the screen, just curious as to the cause.

It would require a lcd replacement most likely. I would suggest returning it, or call 888-678-3688 and get an RMA on it. (Case number below)
