Look, This is really a powerfull laptop. I want to buy it, but I need to know precisely if the power button issue can be fixed once and for all.

    Thank you.

I would not bother with Amazon.

Newegg are offering the same model here for only $1119.00 saving $80.

Its a bit of a gamble from what I have seen and heard about it unfortunetely some people never have a problem with the power pin etc but others do.

For the price though I would take the gamble, I really like the G53's and if they had released one for the JH model I would have picked one up.

Get a warranty with it and your sorted.

    Hello,

I recently purchased the g53sw-xn1 from newegg and am experiencing the power button issue. I must tell you that the button problem may not be very apparent until a few weeks of usage. Your unit's power button may be completely responsive in the beginning(and hopefully staying that way), but like in my case, after a few weeks I began to find myself clicking the button 2-4 times to get it to start from cold boot. I feel that it is really a gamble, and have seen many users from newegg like me having the same problem. I am debating on whether to RMA the thing right now, because currently I only have to press it like 4 times to get it to start, which is really not that much of a hassle. However, the power button may become even more unresponsive as time goes on. I have not received any message or heard of any story of a g53sw user successfully fixing the power button issue with an RMA yet.

Wow, I'm from braziil too... So, I think it wouldn't be smart to buy this model, as I wouldn't be able to send it for replacement and all.

    Thank You for reply.
