Does anyone know if they are going to refresh the G55VW or the G46VW series to haswell and 800m? I have looked everywhere on the web, asus forums, here, and I have found nothing. I do see they have the G55JK with the 850m but that design is not the same as the other ROG laptops. I'm looking for the cooling solution on a 15.6 inch laptop because it is ultra quiet. The 17 inch is just to huge for me.

A G46 successor is a nogo someone posted the link where you could buy the board for what was suppose to be the successor to the g46. Yup my g46 is pretty silent even with the 3940xm. Looks like maybe the stealth bomber design is limited to the g750 now? That may be just because they find that the 15 inch models and below just don't need as good of cooling as the g750. Makes sense.

I would not hesitate to look at the n550jk-ds71t. I'm sure it is probably a quiet machine. Maybe look at the reviews for it.

That had the 760m on it though rather than an 860m.
