    Hey guys,

This is my first post here.

I have an Asus G55VW laptop. It has a Nvidia Geforce GTX 660M graphics card. I have the latest drivers. My problem occurs when I try to connect it to my Sharp 1080p TV. The problem has to do with scaling. When I connect my laptop to my TV with an HDMI cable, the TV shows the desktop but crops the edges. I believe this to be a scaling problem but I haven't found the solution yet. I've checked the Nvidia control panel and played around with the "Adjust Desktop Size and Position" options, but that didn't help. I've tried connecting the laptop to a different TV and it does the same thing. I didn't have this problem a few months back, but for some reason it's having this problem now. Can someone offer any advice? I'm out ideas and my patience has run out.

    TIA,

    grecinos

Have you used your TV remote to adjust ratio such as 16:9, 4:3, etc?

Yes. I've tried every option on the TV. I couldn't find anything pertaining to the aspect ratio or scaling. :(

    Check the over scan settings.

I've checked the over scan options in the Nvidia control panel and my TV. Neither of which solved the problem.

Here are some screen captures of the Nvidia control panel.

There's an option that allows you to "Enable desktop resizing". When I click on the checkbox, the "Resize" button remains greyed out (disabled).

    Any ideas?
