So I got an Asus g60vx a few months ago with windows 7 64 bit preinstalled. I had some issues with it at first but got them resolved, or so I thought. My problem is when I play World of Warcraft the screen will go fuzzy or colors will sku or I'll get a Black screen or it will just lock up completely and I have to hard shut down.

Now just to clarify I dont believe this is a problem with wow because I have had lock ups and issues while using firefox. All my drivers are up to date and I have done all the hardware tests I can think of to check for hardware failures (stressed CPU with Orthos for an hour no failure, ran 3dmark to stress GPU no failure, HDD test no failure, memtest with no failure). And I should also mention that my Temps for both CPU and GPU during all the stress tests and during gaming and at the time of crash have never exceeded 75C.

Here is what I cannot figure out. This is the 3rd time this has happened. The last 2 times I have done a complete reformat and reinstalled Windows 7 64 bit and then update drivers and everything runs fine for a little while then a couple of days or few weeks and it happens again. I can't pinpoint the exact issue. I don't know if it's windows 7 update or a driver conflict or registry error caused due to Windows 7 blocked next to everything from accessing the OS even though I am the admin. I cannot figure out what to do.

Any ideas???? Anyone have this laptop run more stable with Vista?

I believe I have the best buy model.

    2GHz p7350 CPU
    4GB DDR2 RAM
    Nvidia GTX 260m
    Windows 7 64 bit

Hit my Driver & Application Reference (link below) and grab the Intel INF updater with -overall option, and the June 2010 DirectX Redist package. You are also welcome to grab 270.61 WHQL from there too.

Do the Intel INF package first, and follow the simple instructions listed.

Okay thanks for the quick reply, but I've got a question. I have a G60vx the links you have are for the G73. So will those inf files work?

I did already update my nvidia to the newest 270.61 drivers.

I'm running BIOS 205 which seems to be the most up to date version.
