I just got one of the G72 refurb units form newegg. First off the machine is immaculate. Not a scratch or fingerprint anywhere. Still has nice plastic wrappings around the screen and such.

Anyways, The charger that it came with was a dud. I grabbed on from bestbuy, a 90W, thinking that it would last until my new one came in. It charges it while its off which I'm not sure if its okay?

But my main concern is that I went to plug in the charger while it was on, I may have herd a slight flicker and the screen when black. The computer was still on and running but no screen. I held down power, computer rebooted all fine and dandy.

Could this have done any harm to my machine?

Don't think I will be messing around with other chargers... will probably wait until I get my ASUS charger.
