    Hello!

First of all: Sorry for my bad english, it's not my native language.

But now to my question: I've bought a G73JH, the version with the i5 processor and a LG panel. Colors are OK when i am on the desktop, but as soon as i start a game the colors are just boring. Not vibrant at all and washed out. I've tried to adjust the colors with the color-correction of the ATI-drivers, but it's still not very good.

Does anyone maybe know how to adjust colors in games to give them a more vibrant look? Or is this impossible on ATI graphic-cards?

    Greetings from Austria,
    Markus

It's not the graphics card in this case, but rather the mediocre TN panel in the G73. There's not much you an do about it...

That being said, try searching for a color profile for your laptop-perhaps somebody has already tried to tweak it.

The strange thing is: on the windows-desktop colors are very bright and vibrant. Only in games the colors look so boring.

have you tried adjusting the resolution inside the video settings in-game? it's probably not set at your native resolution

The resolution is set to 1600 x 900, which is the native resolution for this model.

Are you sure the game you're playing doesn't just have a dull/muted color palette?

For example World of Warcraft does look very boring. I normally use "Digital Vibrance" on my desktop's Nvidia-card, but ATI doesn't support this function, only some kind of "color-correction".

Something in noticed yesterday: The G73 does have this feature to change monitor-settings with pressing a key (the one on the left side, above the normal keyboard). This can used with some games to make the overall appearance a little bit better. But it doesn't work with all games, like e.g. World of Warcraft does not change when i press that button.

By the way, anything you're seeing with Digital Vibrance enabled are not normal colours. In that case, the colours are more than what is usual/normal.
