So after reading various threads I can't seem to nail down some info, what cards have been tested and confirmed *working* besides the 6970m and 7970m? Really wondering if the 485 would work in it since I've always wanted a high end card and they seem to be going cheap now

It depends on what model you have. I believe svl7 managed to get a more recent nVidia card in a JW and you already know the ones that work in the JH.

I wonder if cards like the 7870M work properly.

The 6870m and 7970m work in the JH, so i don't see why a 7870m wouldn't work. I'm not gonna try my firepro in the G73 even though that would determine whether it would work or not.
