As you can read in the topic, every time when I try to play AC 2, my A1 goes to GSOD and the only fix is the hard shut down on the power button ....
I've read the whole thread about Asus G73 GSOD...
That's not my case because I can play Modern Warfare 2, Battlefield BC2, Mass Efect 2, Crysis for hours, without any problem....
The GSOD is happening only on Assassin's Creed 2...
I've googled for some solutions, fixes, or driver issues, seems that nobody knows what's the problem is ..
If somebody had the same problem and has fixed it, please, help me out...

Which driver version are you using?
-
I have 10-6_mobility_vista_win7_64_dd_ccc ...
-
No problems with AC2 on any drivers here. It's not a G73 specific or ATi issue. It's a user issue on your part.
-
Do factory restore with stock driver, don't just uninstall and reinstall the factory driver and try the game again.
-
Did that too, didn't work ... downloadiing 10.7 right know...
Ziddy, my game works perfect on another PC ... -
Shameless GSOD bump, see 2nd & 3rd links (mostly 3rd). Not every game is as stable as others. For example, on my rig, Dragon Age is stable at stock speeds, as is Overlord, but Magic The Gathering: Battle of the Planewalkers (fscking long name...) needs my OC to be stable.

What the heck do you even mean by this?
-
It means it's specific to his notebook, does not mean just because it is a G73 it will GSOD on AC2. Just responding to the title of this thread.

I've Updated the drivers to 10.7, it still crashes ...
I've tryed Left 4 Dead 2 this morning, it crashed on it too...
Run a Furmark stress test, it went to GSOD in 30 Seconds...
This MF GPU is going for RMA for sure, even, I'm in Afganistan, and it will cost a lot.. -
You may only need to have your paste and pads redone. If you cannot do it, then have a tech do it for you.
