Hey everybody. Ever since i purchased my G73 i have never even had the option to set my resolution to 1080p. the max i get is the 1600X900. This is also the max for any of the games i been playing which are: crysis warhead, Starcraft 2, left 4 dead 2, Fallout 3.

Anybody know why this is or what i can check if its a setting?? Any help appreciated

The model you purchased must have a max res of 1600x900. Mine does aswell but I am looking into replacing my screen with a 1920x1080

that is the best buy version, those are watered down to be less expensive such as having a max res of 1600x900, only 1 HD etc. Other versions of the JH such as the A1,A2, have the 1080p screen and offer more features which is why they cost a little more

Impossible. No BB model has the 1080p screen, trust me I researched the hell out of this before I purchased mine. That's clearly a mistake with Cnet. All the BB models come with a 1600x900 screen, it's even clearly on their website, well it used to be.

I agree w/ Kuro. Absolutely NO RBX / BST models have 1920x1080i.

you can get it from couple websites.. around 160-170 usd.. i got mine on amazon.. coz i heard some online sites have a bad customer service... and another thing is one user here bought at the seller at amazon and he had no problem with it. I boguht the Hannstar 1920x1080 which is the same as the a1,a2 versions.

I was told the same thing at Best Buy , 1920x1080. But that is not what you get.
I have learned the hard way you have to be very careful what you buy at BestBuy as they will tell you just about anything to get you to buy. It does not show on the box that they had it in. So there is no way to tell till you get it home and boot up.
They where also telling me and others that you had to pay $99.00 for them to clean off the junk and turn on the Turbo Boost. Machine code setting they said!
We have it recorded and the guy that got it is sending it in so ones who can so something about it can hear and see it .
So take care when you buy.
