Hey everyone, so I changed my wifi card last week with no problems. it was painless and it works great.
I had an extra card so i was trying to change my friend's card also but one of the screws wont come out. it wont turn, the middle of the screw is like melted and not holding the screw driver properly. is there anything i can do to get that screw out from there? P.S. I dont care if I have to get rid off that screw i have extra ones. I will post pics if you guys need them. Thanks Sal.

Hey, I'm not sure if you've tried it, but I saw posted as a "lifehack" using a rubber band over the top of a phillips screwdriver to allow you to turn the screw in a stripped screw. Only other idea would be to try to get a flathead to fit the screw somehow and maybe use that...

Thanks for the answer I am going to try that as soon as i get home. for the flathead part i tried that already, its pretty messed up so that didnt work for me.

There are screwdrivers that are made to remove stripped screws, but that implies finding and buying one.

Thanks everyone for your responses. got it out with robber band.
ps. another intel 6230 just installed on a G73sw and its great for those who is looking to switch from the stock one. bluetooth and wifi works great. -
Yay, another problem fixed by Reddit posted lifehack!
Seriously though, I saw the post in the last couple of weeks and thought, wow, that's actually a good idea... Glad it worked for you. -
