I am going to be buying a G73-jh and I was wondering If there is a way to upgrade to a larger battery that would have a longer battery life.

No extended battery for the G73 series as its design is so unique; you might be able to get away with one of those portable battery packs (or w/e they are called), but only if you use the laptop on battery saver mode the whole time, otherwise it would draw too much power.

Your best bet is to undervolt/underclock everything; I can get about 3 hours and 20 minutes.
