    Hey guys,

My laptop keeps freezing every hour or two. It will freeze for 30-60 seconds everytime, then unfreeze. When it freezes the sound will stop (the music player will keep running though). I can still move the mouse around but all programs are unresponsive.

But once in a while it doesn't come out of the freeze and will BSOD.

I've tried reformatting it and not installing the creative drivers and still the problem exists.

Just now I've managed to take a picture with my camera of the message that appears before it BSOD (not sure if its a WMP problem bacause it freezes with itunes as well).

I only get this error if it BSOD, if it comes out of the freeze then this message doesnt appear.

This is the first time I've seen this issue on the forums unfortunately. I would try to get rid of that in out error. try THIS link first.

If updating drivers like they described at that link causes a bsod, I recommend going to the appropriate site to dl and then update drivers.

Is your ram reading as 8gigs? and are u using an external hardrive for some reason?

Not sure if any of this helps. I could be completely wrong.

Cool I'll give it a try.

Is it definitely a sound issue though?

If you got rid of creative, then its probably not a sound issue.

Definitely check your audio drivers and make sure you have the latest. While Chastity found a way to get Creative to work with the G73, I'd suggest to uninstall it for now at least to minimize possible conflicts. You can always install it again later. I would also make sure to update WMP and iTunes just to get those out of the way.

Does it only occur when playing music? Are the files from the HD or streaming?

Like he mentioned, he doesn't have creative installed.

You could try a fresh install again or just rma the thing. Not sure if you fixed the problem yet but thats all I got for now.
