Hi, been a while seen I have been on here!

I bought a G73JH in 2010 and have not used it for over a year now.

I picked up a Asus ultrabook for my everyday use but to me it seems like a waste to leave my working G73 on the floor and not use it.

But now I realized the battery is completely dead and once my computer is unplugged it just turns off.

What battery options are there including OEM. (I was advised not to go OEM because of old shelf life)

If not what replacement laptops should I look at?

    Thanks!

When I had the g73, it had a bad battery.

I got on ebay and bought an after market battery and it worked just fine.

I didnt have any numbers to compare it with the oem, but it lasted about 2 hours, which is pretty good for that laptop.

I 2nd for the OEM battery, there are many OEM units available.
Just make sure when you get it then fully perform a charge/discharge cycle from 100% to 5-10%.
Use AIDA64 to inspect battery's wear level to make everything's perfect.
