Just wanted to stop in and say I am one of the newest if not one of the only people with the first generation G73-A series with a matte screen.

Unlike the cut down Nvidia model with the matte 120hz option I am running the AMD 5870 with a 1920x1080 60hz screen.

Did the install myself, took me about 1.5 hours since I took it slow and tried to record some of it.

I'll try to put together a little install help video incase anybody else wants to update or change the screen on the G73 (any model)

I am happy to say that I have no glare as i sit now under my bright office light, but the screen I got does have a pretty strong blue cast to it that I cant seem to color correct. I'll just have to get used to it.

I'll work on getting some more details for you guys as I can. Also I'll be selling my perfectly good 1920x1080 glossy screen now that somebody may want to get if they have a lower res screen (best buy models etc)
