Hey there everybody, I've owned this laptop for about 3 months now and for the most part its great. However, I'm having trouble with the touchpad and its really starting to become a pain. When trying to maneuver with it, the mouse is either sluggish or completely unresponsive with both movement and clicking.

I've uninstalled the drivers that came with my CD and downloaded the latest drivers from the ASUS website, but I still have trouble getting the mouse to move on occasion.

If anyone has seen this problem and found a solution, your help would be greatly appreciated.

Go into the Synaptic settings and adjust to your liking.

I've fiddled with the Synaptic settings, which is partly why I came here to see if anyone else has had these issues. Eventually it gets to the point where I move my finger across the pad and the mouse doesn't even move at all, or won't click when I tap. It's quite frustrating.

I've also had problems lately with the touch pad being unresponsive or eratic. I tried everything. In the end I got the unit replaced.

    Problem Solved :)
