I want to know if it's possible to pair up this card with this laptop? It's of course, I bought it second hand and i will get it in few days, it dont have warranty so I will be flashing unlocked bios, but is it possible to have some mods like legacy mode booting, which I have in MSI GX740, and k5000m is working no problem? Or only solution is to grab clevo 7970m v1.2 card?

As far as I'm aware, this system was never designed as a "workstation" per se and, consequently, never given support for Quadro cards. I imagine it would take some serious modding to make this work, if it's even really possible.

And some gtxes? In msi gx740 i installed k5000m and it's working

It's worth a try. I would venture to say MSI is a little more accommodating with Quadro cards; Asus seems less apt to provide mobile workstations and has instead focused on gaming notebooks, so there may be no firmware to support a Quadro card for the G73JH. If you have the resources though, I would be very interested in hearing whether you can make it work or not.

I have gtx 780m so i would try that. I guess that without unlocked bios it wont work (like in msi). I want to trade k5000m for clevo 7970m 1.2, and even for 780m if somebody have it.

@mufferer18 - Try the NBR Marketplace. Maybe you can trade or buy from someone there.

Ok. Will note that. I will test tommorow gtx780m in asus. Dont think it will work, but will have HD6970m which should work
