Just from looking around it seems that there are some noticeable issues with this laptop. Some people having video card issues and other with certain keystrokes. I'm going to list on what problems I have and if I can think of a solution I will post it.

I have the 206 BIOS installed.

    - FN + ESC freezes laptop.
Definitely a hardware issue. Bios most likely. I could freeze the laptop in Windows 7 x64 Safe Mode and in OS X Snow Leopard (Retail Hackintosh).

    - GSODs/Messed Up Colors
I have not had this issue. I have a clean copy of Windows 7 Ultimate x64 and my other posts with drivers is ALL the drivers I use. I use the official ATI 10.4 driver with no issues. VBIOS VER012.017.000.004.035992 and see attachment for my VBIOS dump. Apparently you can use the Asus driver and it will work along with using a different VBIOS.

    - Creative freezes Steam and Ease of Access
Creative dose not give me a freezing issue however it will not function correctly. Won't give me EAX settings and Bass Boost crashes the Audio Panel. I don't have it installed.

If you have any solutions or issues please list them and maybe we can have a place for fixes so people don't have to look all over for them.

It's careless not to warn people about using the vBIOS, unless you expect people to load it into a text editor. :)

Haven't these points already been made in other threads. You could post your concerns there.

Yeah the points have been made but you have to look in a few places. The only purpose of this thread is for convenience.

If moderators find it pointless then they can feel free to delete it.

I ran that benchmark and it only crashed the program in wire frame mode. Everything else worked. I got a driver recovery message when wire frame mode was enabled.

gotcha, that's pretty much same that happened to me although I didnt get my screen back. Had to turn it off manually.

But I guess this shows the vBIOS helps, but isnt perfect. When I flashed it to the clevo and ran wireframe it never crashed on me. So I dont think its fully hardware. Seems to be a strictly Asus vbios problem, some cards just have a more stabler one than others.

    Good luck with that. ;)

It's already turning into a discussion thread and less towards "solutions and issues". As a discussion thread, it slowly becomes yet another place to look. :)
