Hey Guys Gals.....
Can someone point me in the direction of how to install the Intel Turbo Driver. It does not show up on my list of programs features as a driver and the setups i have tried are saying i have incorrect system requirements to run them. I only have the monitor and the intel management engine components driver on the ASUS disk. Is it because i have an i7- '740' qm?? -
CHASTITYS DRIVER PAGE :
Intel TurboBoost Technology Monitor (2.0) & Driver : Use the version on the Driver Disc through the Asus Installer Application. Only known way of installing the driver portion. Web download versions reports error on installation.
LOL what does this mean then is it the driver for the monitor only????........ thanks again -
Yes fella, the turbo itself runs through the processor driver you dont need to install that. All you need to do is run the monitor installation executable. v2.0 should be the latest version try uninstalling the monitor and downloading it again here.
If you mean the Twin Turbo button feature you need to install the ATK package to get the button working. -
Dallers mate thanks for the civil reply. Cheers mate done it now.
Er Laptopfan does your name mean your a fan of laptops or your that overheated you are constantly spinning. Just trying to get my g73 to the best of its capability and make sure ive left nothing to chance. Be more constructive pal. -

While it's true that a google search would have given him an answer quickly, you're being a bit harsh in how you say it. Sometimes people search too but don't search for the right thing or in the right place or just go straight to the forums and don't think about a google search for whatever reason. Happened to me once or twice, sure i felt silly after getting the answer but still civility goes a long way.
-
Im sure your 218 posts have been similar to the replies you gave me. For those who helped me today Rep Power goes a long way on this forum that's obvious
-
It is not the first or the last time this has been said to him today Tijo he seems hell bent on referring to people as lazy or idiotic, one person will not make this forum look bad and I recommend to everyone who suffers first hand to ignore it and wait for an informative response from one of us.
Sometimes I myself ask the most ignorant of questions when I already knew the answer or how to acquire it, at the end of the day its what makes us human.
...and keeps me busy while im slacking at work
-
Feel free to do this but take a leaf out of ALLurGroceries book he is an admin and also spends his entire day referring posters to the correct information and does it with a civil and helpful tone and his reputation flurishes because of it.
Clearly you are venting fustration at the moment because all your previous posts I have seen before the last few days have been very helpful. -
I understood the links and posts and chastitys stating to download the driver from the driver cd (which i dont have). Dont get me wrong. What confused me is my fault but only for searching for an Intel Related Driver and coming across this :
Asus G73JH Notebook Intel Turbo Boost Driver 1.0.1.1002 where you can download from related sites.
Thanks anyway LaptopFan88. Its all good mate. -
If you still want it the Driver CD is also available on the same page. (Up on top)
-
LOL maybe laptopfan was right and i dont read too well. Pardon me for being dyslexic.
Thanks Chastity -
I have a problem.
My restore dvd's are damaged and when i try to use a WIn7 installation and use the HD driver from this pack or the driver from the Asus site I get an error that it will not install the driver since it's not signed.
I tried the f8 option to bypass signature check but that did not work.
Any suggestions where i could find the proper driver that is also signed? -
CrystalMeph this thread may be out of date, For current stuff check here
G73/74/53 Series Driver and Application Reference (This is kept up to date)
Thanks to Chastity and all who contribute to that thread
or on Asus's web site. -
Thanks for the link.
I actually figured out the issue. It was my OCZ Vertex2 drive that was the problem. I had to reformat it under windows 7 before it was recognized by the fresh windows install. -
Download link returns 403 forbidden now Dinoo?
-
Its better to use the new link Josea just gave since a lot of the drivers have newer versions now.
-
My driver page has the current WHQL and betas, so use it.
-
Random question here: I recently did a clean reinstall and everything is hunky-dory but now in the bottom right corner of the screen, whenever i hit CAPS, NUM, or SCROLL lock, a little grey window pops up. Minor annoyance, i know, but still i would like to get rd of it. THanks!
-
Hey sorry to resurrect and old thread, but is there anyone who can point me where to find this driver disc? I just bought a G73JH and it didn't come with the disc, and I'd like to do a fresh windows install. Thanks for any help!
-
Robdog007, if your still looking let me know, I can hook you up with everything you need...trust me, I feel your pain !!!
-

Hi everyone! I just got a second hand ASUS G73JH and just did a clean install on a SSD and I don't have all the drivers, especially the turbo boost installation, can someone please run it by how to install or provide the drivers? I've been trying to find and download without any luck so far. Though I'm still trying to download the one from Chasity. TIA!
-
Turbo Boost doesn't need a driver, what you download is only the monitoring application so it's not that big of a loss.
Here's a list of the drivers i installed on my G73JH when i did a clean install: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asu...40272-asus-g73jh-driver-disc.html#post8334226 If there is something else you need that isn't available on Chastity's driver oage, just let me know. -
Thanks a bunch! I've just downloaded and installed from Chastity's driver page, was unable to download it in the office so was a little panicky hahaha
