    Hey!
My G73JH is 3 years old and so far I loved it, however for the past few months it has been acting weird...I am not getting the FPS what I would expect. I mean I barely get enough FPS in old games like Assassins Creed and Assassins Creed 2. Last night I installed Assassins Creed Brotherhood, loaded it up, set everything to max and I had great FPS, 90 in the menu and 35-60 in game, it ran great, however when I loaded up the second time, my FPS halved! Now I only get 50-55 FPS in menu and 20-30 FPS in game...what the?! Why is this happening, why does my G73JH has so bad performance ?!

    Funny thing is:
#1 I even completely disassembled the laptop, dusted out fans and repasted GPU -> no change
#2 I have my GPU OCd to 825-1115 -> still have so low FPS in AC games

ps: I checked BIoshock Infinite and I "lost" my performance with that too, I had everything on ultra and got 30-45 FPS, now I barely get 10...what is going on here ?!

ps2: My Vantage score dropped too from 9600 to 5753...

Reinstalling the driver seemed to fix the sudden FPS decrease, it seems the clocks were stuck on 400/1000...strange.

Seems I've found the problem...running Windows Experience Index while overclocked locks my GPU on 400/1000 until I reinstall the VGA driver...maybe the time has come to install Win 8.

    I am using Catalyst 13.1.

That's really odd, have you tried the unlock command and looking at clock profiles (-xcl on the shortcut IIRC).
