    Hi,

I've been reading this forums and have solved a lot of issues thanks to this great community.

My issue ONLY happens when Overclocking the GPU (HD 5870) using the AMD GPU Clock Tool.

I set the clocks to 800/1100 and after a few minutes of gaming I get a pretty colorful screen and have to reboot. Temperatures are normal when this happens.

As far as I'm concerned, I have everything updated (BIOS, vBios, Drivers).
    Here's a screenshot from GPU-Z

Prior to trying OC I've never got a GSOD, and if I don't OC, I don't get it either.

I tried looking around the forum for GSOD only when OC but couldn't find anything. Has anyone run into this kind of behavior before?

    Thanks in advance.

A driver crash can look like a GSOD, so I wouldn't worry about that. What I would suggest is that you download one of my newer vBIOS distros, so that you can use Overdrive to do your overclocking. You should find this more convenient. Also, OD2 has improved battery settings to get more life in battery mode.

You can find them on my Driver and Application Reference Page. (See sticky for link)

Thanks for the promptly response. I will try your vBIOS. I've read very good things about them :) Hope it fixes this.

    Thanks again.
