Do I need to remove and screws to remove the keyboard? Everywhere I have looked just says to push in the 5 tabs on top of the keyboard and pull up, but I feel like I'm going to break it.

No screws to worry about. There is an adhesive on the back of the keyboard which is where the resistance is coming from. Just be gentle. Did this yesterday and had the same worry. Good luck

I've removed it before, but it was during a complete disassembly and I remembered it being easier. It's specifically the top right of the keyboard thats especially tight.
