Is there a way to change Fn + Down to start itunes or other media programs? Cause the fast foward, rewind, play, pause, stop hotkeys are kinda useless to me if it only works with Windows Media Center.

I wonder if this is controlled by the default programs? change the default to whatever you wish to use?

I once read a thread about customizing the hotkeys on Asus notebooks. However, i have not tested it so i have no idea if every hotkey is customizable.
The program in this thread might help you customizing the Fn hotkeys: http://forum.notebookreview.com/asus/150016-asus-notebook-keys-v1-3-a.html
If you cant customize the Fn hotkeys with this i don't think you can customize the Fn hotkeys.
    Good luck!

I know my media keys with mine work just fine with Itunes, VLC, and other programs... only catch is you have to have the program physically open when you make the change instead of it idle in the background

I have an iPhone so not much choice there. Been wanting to use SongBird for a while but the fact that it writes its ID3 tags in ID3v2.4 is kinda of a pain.

Mine don't even work when iTunes or VLC is on.

hmmmm I know for watching movies, I have to actually hit the FN + the key I am look for.. IE to pause, FN+Dwn... but for Itunes just hitting the key will take it through my library just as if im hitting the button to go next...
