I recently bought an Asus G73JH from Bestbuy about 2 weeks ago. I have found this laptop to be amazing. It runs my games smoothly and it's just great. The only problem I'm having is that it just randomly freezes on me and I have to reboot it by holding the power button. It's only frozen on me once while playing a game but every other time, it's random. It froze on me when I was watching a movie and it froze on me even when I just left it on with no programs running. I looked online for help and I have reinstalled the latest Realtek driver. I also updated my video driver, uninstalled the creative software, and reinstalled Power4Gear. I searched the internet and I can't seem to fix the problem.

    Please help.

please use the newest bios and vbios, but it looks like you got a hdd problem, you can fix this with flashing your seagate momentus drives.

yes...your bios should be 211...and yes update your video bios....that way you can use official drivers from AMD....I too have the bestbuy model...BST7 and what I found id I had to do a fresh install of the OS and now I have no problems...is a hassle for sure but worth it in the long run....my G73 works perfect now... :).....just make sure too backup any important files first... :)...cheers!

i had the same problem, and yes I have the best buy model. I upgraded the BIOS to 211 and the problem stopped. also, since I updated the BIOS, whenever I play a game I have the turbo turned off. I never really noticed a difference with it on anyway.

    TwinTurbo only makes everything slower.

Thanks everyone for the help. Also, this may be a stupid question but how would I do a fresh install of the OS? I've never done it before and I don't want to accidently mess something up.
