    I got a new ssd and put it in my laptop. The drive seemed really slow so I ran a hard drive test.

    [IMG]

    I believe that there must be a problem, as this is pathetic.
    The previous time I tested the drive, the Acc.time was over 17ms

    Does anyone have any ideas what could be wrong?

    AHCI is enabled
    The partition is aligned correctly i believe: 1024k

    It's been discussed quite a bit on these forums. This is a problem with every laptop with the intel 5 chipsets. Your SSD will never perform how it's supposed to. Go take a look in the hardware SSD forums for any tweaks you can make to get it as good as it will get.

    Have you looked at the write speeds?

    @qcrist
    You know, this SSD isn't the best choice for a SSD out there?
    The Indilinx Barefoot Controller is outdated and slow. But IMO it should do it better than yours.
    Here is another Corsair Nova bench. Also on mobile chipset.

    Alignment is correct.
    Is this a new SSD or buyed used?
    Try to make a Secure Erase and reinstall. Infos in the SSD forum.

    The problem is the sandforce chip not the intel of the laptop
