Is it possible to link a PS3 to the Asus G73JH? With additional hardware maybe? Anyone know how you would go about in doing this?

Curious. Please state WHY you want to do this. What is wrong with connecting the PS3 to a TV?

Check this out http://shop.ebay.com/i.html?_nkw=EasyCap one of those should work with HighDef and windows 7 x64, otherwise look for something like it.

it says it doesn't support Vista.... which most likely means no go on Win7, right?

Yeah, but I had the same question when I bought the g50 vt x5, there is one that supports vista x64 it is the easy cap dc60+ 3.1b, http://jarmot.wippiespace.com/Web/EasyCap_DC60+_v3_1B.htm
and there are some fixes around in forums for the w 7 64 drivers -
update i found this torrent: comments say the drivers work for video in windows 7 64

The EasyCap DC60 is not HD and not a good choice IMO for the PS3 as a HD Device.
There is no USB device I know of that can do real HD due to bandwidth limitations, also almost all of them use your computer to do all the decoding so the lag/speed can be directly dependent on your computer in addition to the hardware of the device itself.
A solution:
It would be more than what most would spend for only temporary use, but if you were going to use your laptop screen as the PS3 screen permanently (like when I was in the military traveling often) there is a device that can do it with NO lag and also HD.
Its called a HAVA.
It works because it uses the ethernet port of the machine to send the data, thats 1GB/S way faster than USB, it also does a lot more than just hook up a device to your computer. It takes multiple device inputs, and can send it to multiple computers at the same time, and even remotely over the internet.
Its design is so you can hook up your cable TV to the HAVA and watch it on your computer in different part of the house or watch your TV while your away from home. It has IR blasters to even change the station and stuff remotely while your away.
That said even though its main goal was to let you watch TV on a computer, it works perfect for those who want to use the computer to play a console.
Look for deals on them all the time, I think its like 30% off if you take a 15 second survey, also they are pretty cheap on ebay.
Get one that is HD for the PS3- Play Your TV Anywhere.Video Streamer; Place-Shifter; Mobile TV -
How's the latency with the HAVA?

To my knowledge there is none again its using its own dedicated processing chip and using Ethernet for data transfer.
It uses WMC as the software interface. Its pretty neat.
If I still played consoles I would have one, I like how I can use it to record gameplay videos. -

Today's Woot 6/18/10 Woot® : I Want One!?
Would this work better than the easy cap dc60+ 3.1b? -
I recommend the easycap, you can't beat the price and more than worth it if you're willing to play in SD (which by the way your video card will upscale to HD)
Now, if you want nice, get HAVA.
To me it's not worth it unless I was doing professional HD video editing.
