It just can't. Even on medium settings, it lags. I tried overclocking through afterburner and AMD Overdrive, but it only gave me GPU and Memory clock settings.
Setting the GPU higher than 700Mhz and the Memory clock higher than 1000Mhz gave my laptop a black screen, a screen with white stripes, and random colored pixels. :(
    Help please :\

Some Vcards clock better than others , mine does the same thing with 750/1000. What drivers are you using?
    (Driver for the ATI 5870M)

Have you tried just overclocking the core, and leaving the memory alone? The core overclock has a greater effect on performance, and with my G73JH the memory overclock causes problems. 805mhz is quite a common success for core, try that while leaving the memory at 1000mhz.

Doesn't make a huge difference though, a 15% core overclock might only increase FPS by a few percent. Both the CPU and GPU in the G73JH stock should handle Sim 3 on very high with no problems.

I tried 805Mhz and there's a definitely a significant change in the game! :) I also have it installed on an Intel SSD 80gb 320 drive if it helps.

That sounds like the card crashing and windows recovering the drivers.
