    Hi everyone,

The problem is the usual freeze of my G73JH after trying to boot it in Windows 8.1
The weird thing is that when I hold the power button to force shut down, reboot under Win 7 (dual boot) and reboot again to Windows 8.1 - everything is fine, no freeze, working flawlessly for hours.

Tried many fixes, Bios downgrades etc... same thing.

Still cannot find a logical explanation why booting under Win7 fixes the issue...

It could be something odd going on with the boot manager perhaps. Maybe booting into 7 sets it a certain way.

Disable the LAN adapter in BIOS (if you don't need it). That helped me to fix all "crashing" issues I had with mine.
