I have added a quick step by step guide in the first page for those that need a little more detail.

Also can anyone give me a good stable setting for over clocking this cpu, without frying it or needing a freezer, lol? As in what number I put in for the first two custom options (I think it deals with the watt and amp if I read correctly) as well as for each of the 4 cores? The numbers can go from 1 to 255. Thanks all!

    Hi guys,

tremendous knowledge/experience here, thanks to all first of all.

I have one G73jh that i have taken some days ago.

I have replaced almost immediately the cpu from the i7-720 to the i7-920XM AND unfortunately im experiencing a random freezing crash that obligate me always to manually restart the system. This is purely random since it can happens from 15 minutes after the boot up to 3-6 hours, and it can be in idle situation as in high load video games period. I have done some stress test on the CPU with Sandra and all is fine. Anyway i attach the log files of thWindows event crash and my main systems info. I hope that at least here someone can help me in this VERY FRUSTRATING issue on my machine:

Did you note that Sandra is reporting your chip is an engineering sample?

Yes but i'm almost sure that this is not the reason of the crash, this CPU is perfect and have sussesfully passed a lot of tests that i have done with excellent stress software product as CPUburn or Sandra itself. I can stay 30 minutes at 80-100% of CPU load without problem and with temperatures always under 63 Celsius.

Please someone help me with this damned and unknown issue!
